Our service went well as the Lord encouraged our hearts with Psalms 27 and Psalms 21. At first I exhorted then allowed Mrs. Pauline Blake to preach and she did a good job.
Sunday in our service from the Psalms both the exhortation and the preached word called upon us to have
Our Strength and Confidence in the Lord,
...to wait means
(to minister, to serve, to spend time saying thank you Lord, to example all that the Lord has done for us, to draw strength from the testimony that He gave us, to exchange our strength for his strength, go on a fast, leave off the people and focus on the Lord, beat off the old beak, grow new beak for hunting, develop an appetite for change, newness, grow new wings, to refresh ourselves in Him, abide in His will) upon Him
...and be of good courage is drawn from
...now Moses my servant is dead...Joshua be of good courage not like what we witness in Ken Lay who died of a broken heart that was the result of bad courage, this is a little far fetched but it preached, bad courage causes the heart to boil over violently within and cause a massive eruption of the heart's valve... this is what happens in an angry man or woman, this is what happens in a violent home or community
but Jesus said, "In your humiliation, in your tribulation, in your persecutions, in your victories over the wicked, even your enemies and your foes, even over false witnesses, the Lord exhorts us to first possess our souls. We are required to possess or control the soul not melt away like water.
We can not posses our victories, prosperity, land, newness from God if we do not learn to possess our souls. For it is written, "Guard your heart for out of it are the issues of life". God teaches us that fear in the heart, causes it to faint (depress or turn down and then it breaks, so we must go beyond the life of fear and live the life of faith and
…he will strengthen...means…
God will re-string our hearts like your tennis racket; he will rewire you by putting new melody of rhythm and harmony, revive our spirit, cause new music to come forth, he will put a pep in your step, he will give you reasons to shout and rejoice in Him, to have confidence, firm confidence in Him, he will re-enforce all of your previous joys into a compound refreshed memory of all you victories in Him...He will fight for you, give you the battle strategies (wisdom) and he will give you the victories in your hands...all you have to do is possess them (that is, reaffirm them and live in them as though you did it)
So this is what the Lord spoke to us about on Sunday.
